Seaside Park
Park · Bridgeport, Connecticut
A 375-acre park with a bathing beach, ball fields, bath houses, and trails, created on land P. T. Barnum and others donated starting in 1864 and designed by Frederick Law Olmsted's firm in 1867. Its 1918 Perry Memorial Arch was designed by Henry Bacon, architect of the Lincoln Memorial; listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1982.
