Sokoji Soto Zen Mission

The mission's own site records that the temple at 1691 Laguna Street took four years to build and that dedication ceremonies were held there in April 1984. Before that move the congregation was housed at 1881 Bush Street, the building carrying San Francisco Landmark No. 81, designated in 1976. The same site records that the mission closed in 1942 and reopened in 1948.
