St John-at-Hackney is a parish church on Lower Clapton Road that is also used as a live-music venue. It is Grade II* listed, NHLE 1226959, listed on 24 April 1951 as the Church of St John. No source states general opening hours, so none are given here.

History

The church was designed by James Spiller and replaced the medieval church of St Augustine, whose tower still stands in the churchyard gardens. Five structures in the churchyard carry their own entries on the National Heritage List: the wall to the south-west, Grade II, NHLE 1265589; the war memorial, Grade II, NHLE 1391701; and the Beaufort, Hunter and Loddiges family tombs, Grade II, NHLE 1391333, 1391334 and 1391335.
