Storrs Hill Ski Area

Storrs Hill is operated by the Lebanon Outing Club, and the club's own site brands the area with the tagline "SERVING THE COMMUNITY SINCE 1923." The Lebanon Outing Club was founded in 1923 as a Lebanon High School student club by Erling Heistad, per the area's own History page. In 1986 the Lebanon Outing Club reorganized as a 501(c)(3) non-profit and took over ski area operations from the City of Lebanon. The area's own history page states its first lift was installed in 1935, "making Storrs Hill possibly the oldest continuously operating lift-served ski area in the country." Night skiing has been offered since 1939, per the area's own About Us page; an independent ski-history site records that a rope tow was installed in early 1939, funded by $3,500 in town appropriations and led by Clem Curtis. Two-time Olympian Ernest Dion led a renovation in 1972-73 that installed a Poma lift converted from a used T-Bar, and NH Governor Meldrim Thomson attended a ribbon-cutting in late November 1972, per New England Ski History's Storrs Hill page. The Olympic torch relay passed through Storrs Hill in 2002, traveling off the 35-meter ski jump "through the ring of fire," and the area's own history page states that Mikaela Shiffrin trained at Storrs Hill in 2004. Public skiing at Storrs Hill was offered free of charge for the 2025-26 season, per the area's official site, though the site states there will be no off-season equipment rentals in 2026 because of a lodge renovation.
