Sunset Park
Park · Sunset Park, New York
The 24.5-acre park that gave the neighborhood its name, on a roughly 164-foot hill in the Harbor Hill Moraine. The City of Brooklyn acquired the original four blocks on May 15, 1891 and the park was expanded to 44th Street in 1904.
History
The Sunset Play Center, the park's pool and bathhouse, was designated an individual New York City landmark on July 24, 2007.
