The Greenbrier

The resort that owns the Old White, at 101 Main Street West. Its published room types run Traditional (250 sq ft), Superior and Deluxe (400 sq ft), Draper Suites (600 sq ft) and West Virginia Suites (1300 sq ft), the last "originally built to conceal the construction of the Cold War fallout shelter underneath The Greenbrier." A Daily Resort Fee of $49.00 per room, per night covers coffee service, afternoon tea, movies, historical tours, the pools, on-property transportation and the hiking trails; West Virginia taxes run 6% sales and 3% occupancy, and the Historic Preservation Fund is 9.75%. Self-parking is complimentary for guests; valet is $35 per night. The National Park Service lists The Greenbrier as a National Historic Landmark designated 06/21/90.
