Fourth on Golf Digest's 2025-'26 Best in State ranking for Louisiana, labelled "Public" — the highest-ranked public course on the list. Designed by Pete Dye with PGA TOUR players Steve Elkington and Kelly Gibson, it opened to the public in 2004 at 11001 Lapalco Boulevard in Avondale, an unincorporated community in Jefferson Parish. The course covers over 250 acres of wetlands with over 100 bunkers and five tee sets from 5,121 to 7,400 yards, and has hosted the PGA TOUR's Zurich Classic of New Orleans since 2005. A visitor can book a single round through the course's own ezLinks portal at non-resident rates, with no annual pass required.
