By road, per OSRM routing on the course's own coordinates, TPC Louisiana is 14.2 miles from the French Quarter in New Orleans and 15.0 miles from Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY). TPC Louisiana's own about page credits "Master architect Pete Dye," working "in conjunction with PGA TOUR players Steve Elkington and Kelly Gibson," and states the course "opened to the public" in 2004, when Golf Digest named it "the #4 best upscale public golf course." The course "stretches over 250 acres of wetlands" and "features over 100 bunkers," with five tee sets "ranging from a fair 5,121 yard from the women's tees all the way back to the 7,400 PGA TOUR tees." It is part of the Audubon Golf Trail. Golf Digest's own course page carries the ranking history verbatim: "100 Greatest Public: T-99, 2011-'12. Best in State: Ranked fourth, 2023-'26. TPC Louisiana has hosted the PGA TOUR's Zurich Classic of New Orleans since 2005, described by the tour as "the only PGA TOUR event in the region." The course is an 18-hole, par-72 Robert Trent Jones, Sr. layout that opened in 1959 as, in the operator's words, "the Westbank's first private country club"; the Timberlane Neighborhood Improvement and Beautification District assumed ownership in 2018, and the facility now "operates as Timberlane Golf and Recreation." The Roosevelt New Orleans, A Waldorf Astoria Hotel, on Roosevelt Way in the Central Business District, is 13.94 road miles from the course. Cochon, 930 Tchoupitoulas Street in the Warehouse District, is 13.09 road miles from the course, the shortest of the four routes.
