UCSF Parnassus Heights

The original UCSF campus located at Parnassus Heights is made up of a tight network of buildings where faculty, staff, students and others are engaged in patient care, research and education activities. Covering almost six blocks, the campus serves as headquarters for UCSF leaders. No source states a street address for the campus, so none is given here.
History
Adolph Sutro donated 13 acres at Parnassus Heights, at the base of the hill now called Mount Sutro, and the Affiliated Colleges buildings opened in the fall of 1898. UC Hospital followed in 1917 with 225 beds, the Clinics Building in 1934, the Langley Porter Clinic in 1942, the Herbert C. Moffitt Hospital in 1955, the Guy S. Millberry Union in 1958 and the Kalmanovitz Library in 1990.
