Vermont Ski and Snowboard Museum
Museum · Stowe, Vermont
A ski and snowboard history museum in Stowe's former Old Town Hall.
History
The museum was established in 1988 in Brandon, Vermont as The Vermont Ski Museum, relocated to Stowe in 2000, and reopened at its current Main Street location -- a building originally constructed in 1818 as the town's Old Town Hall -- after a 2002 renovation, per Wikipedia's "Vermont Ski and Snowboard Museum" article. "Snowboard" was added to the museum's name in 2011 to reflect an expanded collection, including equipment, clothing, and fine art, plus a permanent Hall of Fame exhibit.
