Veterans Memorial Park

Established by the town in 1945, gathering four war memorials: an early-1900s 22-foot granite Civil War standard-bearer, first proposed in 1872 and moved from New Haven Railroad property; an 8-ton World Wars I & II monument dedicated 1943; a 12-foot Korea and Vietnam monument dedicated Memorial Day 1984; and a Desert Storm monument dedicated May 27, 1991.
