Whitewebbs Museum of Transport

The Whitewebbs Museum of Transport is on Whitewebbs Road, EN2 9HW, in what its operator describes as 'a Victorian water pumping station built in 1898'. It opens every Tuesday and the last Sunday of the month, 10am to 4pm, with last admission at 3pm. The collection is vintage cars, buses and commercial vehicles, among them a 1959 Morris Mini Minor and a Bedford dropside truck.
History
The museum is run by the Enfield and District Veteran Vehicle Trust, a volunteer body that states it 'receives no Lottery or Council funding'. The 1898 date for the pumping station is the operator's own, and the building carries no entry on the National Heritage List for England. Whitewebbs Farmhouse nearby is Grade II, NHLE 1079519, its barn Grade II, NHLE 1079480, and the King and Tinker public house on Whitewebbs Lane Grade II, NHLE 1189296, listed on 19 March 1951. Crews Hill station, on Great Northern, is about 970 m away and Gordon Hill about 1,939 m.
