Albury Street is a terrace of early urban houses running immediately behind St Paul's Church, Deptford. Twelve separate NHLE entries cover houses on this one short street: ten are Grade II* and two are Grade II, numbers 39 and 41 at NHLE 1358922 and number 45 at NHLE 1217928. The houses are lived in and the street is freely walkable.
History
The houses date largely from 1705 to 1717 and were taken by naval captains and shipwrights. The street was formerly called Union Street. Number 17, NHLE 1079072, was listed on 19 October 1951 at grid reference TQ 37209 77597. The Grade II* entries are NHLE 1358938 (13 and 15), 1079072 (17), 1079073 (19 and 21), 1358939 (23-27), 1079074 (29 and 31), 1358940 (33), 1080023 (34-40), 1079075 (35), 1079076 (37) and 1079077 (43).
