Alexandra Park surrounds the palace on Alexandra Palace Way, N22 7AY. It is a Grade II registered park and garden, NHLE 1001253, registered 9 May 1995, and the registered area measures 78.52 hectares. The operator states that the park is 'open throughout the day and night, all year round', with the playground and skatepark closing at dusk; entry is free. The East Court car park opens seven days a week 5.30am to 12.30am on non-event days and the Grove car park 6am to 7pm.

History

The park holds a boating lake, a pitch and putt course, a skatepark and the Grove bar area, and gives the long southward view over central London that the palace was sited for. The Historic England register names the entry ALEXANDRA PALACE rather than Alexandra Park, and it is a registered park and garden rather than a listed building. Alexandra Palace and Park is also a Haringey conservation area, designated 22 September 1978.
