History
A stretch of the historic Arnold Trail to Quebec, the wilderness route of Benedict Arnold's 1775 expedition, runs through Moscow, and, per Wikipedia's "Arnold Trail to Quebec" article, "there is also a historical marker in Moscow, Maine placed in 1916 by the Kennebec chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution." The trail was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1969. The Town of Moscow's own website describes the Arnold Trail as "a scenic historic route that winds northward through Moscow toward Quebec."
