History
Per Wikipedia's article on Bissell Bridge, the covered bridge over Mill Brook in Charlemont was built in 1951 as a near-replica replacement for an earlier covered bridge dating to about 1881; it was added to the National Register of Historic Places on February 26, 2004, and is described as the first covered bridge built in Massachusetts in the 20th century.
