History
Per Wikipedia's article on the statue, "Hail to the Sunrise" in Mohawk Park, Charlemont, was created by sculptor Joseph Pollia and dedicated before more than 2,000 people on October 1, 1932; it was commissioned by the Improved Order of Red Men to honor the peoples of the five Mohawk Nations, and its base pool contains 100 inscribed stones from Red Men tribes and councils across the country.
