Aula Gotica dei Santi Quattro Coronati

A hall in the cardinal's palace of the Santi Quattro Coronati whose walls and vaults carry 300 square metres of thirteenth-century painting, which Roma Capitale suggests may have been the courtroom of an ecclesiastical tribunal; the profane scenes are by the Terzo Maestro di Anagni. Its own site gives the 2026 opening days as Friday 23 and Saturday 24 January; Friday 6 and Saturday 7 February; Friday 24 and Saturday 25 April; Tuesday 12 and Wednesday 13 May; Friday 12 and Saturday 13 June; Friday 18 and Saturday 19 September; Friday 23 and Saturday 24 October; and Friday 13 and Saturday 14 November, with entry at 09.00, 10.00, 11.00, 12.00, 13.00, 15.00, 16.00, 17.00 and 18.00. History

The paintings were uncovered in 1995 beneath later layers of colour and brought back by a long restoration carried out by the state Soprintendenze.
