History
Wikipedia records that the organisation was founded in San Francisco in 1895 as the Native Sons of the Golden State and renamed the Chinese American Citizens Alliance in 1915; that lodges were chartered in Los Angeles in 1914, San Francisco in 1915 and Oakland in 1917; and that it has twenty local lodges.
