History

A church at Uxbridge is recorded in 1245, in a dispute brought by the Abbot of Bec, and the earliest fabric to survive is part of the north tower, built in the late 14th century. The south aisle was added about 1450, producing the double-nave plan the building still has. It remained a chapel-of-ease to Hillingdon until 1827, when Uxbridge was made a parish in its own right. The Grade II* listing was made on 8 May 1950 as list entry 1180516, the same day as the Market House, NHLE 1080208.
