Cockaponset State Forest

Connecticut's second-largest state forest, spanning over 17,000 acres across eleven towns, with more than 100 miles of trails and swimming at Pattaconk Lake. Open daily 8 a.m.–sunset, free for in-state vehicles; out-of-state vehicles pay $10 weekday / $15 weekend at the Pattaconk Recreation Area.
