Haddam Meadows State Park

A 154-acre riverside flat gifted by the Hazen Foundation in 1944; today it holds a public boat launch and hosts Little League games and Haddam River Days. The river here is known for catfish and pike. Open daily 8 a.m.–sunset, free admission, wheelchair accessible; phone (860) 345-8521.
