History

Dover Town Hall, at the junction of Holland and Taft Brook Roads, was built in 1828 as a union meeting house for Baptist, Methodist, and Universalist congregations; the town formally took over the building in 1907, and it hosted town meetings from 1872 until 1971, according to Wikipedia's "Dover Town Hall" article. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on September 1, 1988 (Reference No. 88001466).
