Facciata di Sant'Isidoro alle Terme

Beside the Octagonal Hall, on Via Parigi, stands the surviving facade of the church of Sant'Isidoro alle Terme. Italian Wikipedia records that Benedict XIV had the church built in 1754 to a design by Giuseppe Pannini, using rooms next to the Octagonal Hall that had served the popes as grain stores, and that the church was deconsecrated and then demolished in 1940 so that the remains of the Baths could be brought back to view. The facade on Via Parigi remains; one small interior room survives and, as of 2023, is not open to the public.
