Gerritsen's tide mill site
Historic site · Marine Park, New York
The site of a seventeenth-century Dutch tide mill said to be the first built in North America. The mill burned in 1935, but the wooden pilings that supported its dam remain visible in the creek and are reachable on the park's trails.
