An Episcopal church at 116 City Island Avenue, founded and built in 1862. The church is Carpenter Gothic and the rectory, also of about 1862, is Italianate. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on September 13, 2006, reference number 06000820.
History
Four houses of worship stand on the island: Saint Mary Star of the Sea Holy Roman Catholic Church, Trinity United Methodist Church, Grace Episcopal Church, and Temple Beth El, founded in 1934, which the main City Island article describes as a non-denominational liberal synagogue.
