Lake McDonough Recreation Area

Run by the Metropolitan District Commission below Saville Dam, with boating (10 mph limit) and shore or boat fishing; the swimming beach remains closed for a lifeguard shortage. 2026 season runs weekends from April 11, then daily 10 a.m.-8 p.m. from May 1 through September 7. Day passes $10 residents / $20 non-residents, credit or debit only.
