Mott Haven Library

A New York Public Library branch at 321 East 140th Street, open to the public since 1905. Wikipedia describes it as the 1905 neo-renaissance Mott Haven Branch and NYPL's own page calls it a brick-and-limestone structure. That page also describes it as the oldest library building in the Bronx, which is the library's claim about itself.
History
The building stands inside the Mott Haven Historic District, designated a New York City Landmark on July 29, 1969. NYPL's own page says the branch was declared a landmark in 1969; the boroughwide landmarks list carries no separate entry for the library, and the Bronx's individually landmarked NYPL branches are Morrisania, Hunts Point and Woodstock. What the building holds is therefore the district's designation, not an individual landmarking of its own.
