Northwest Park & Nature Center

A 473-acre town-owned park with 12 miles of hiking trails, grown back from former tobacco farmland into forest and field habitat. Free and open dawn to dusk; a working maple sugar house, farm animals and year-round programming including a coffee house concert series and annual country fair. Nature center open Mon-Sat 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Sun 1-4 p.m.
