Peter's Rock Park
Park · North Haven, Connecticut
At 373 feet, the town's highest point and largest open space, roughly 220 acres with about five miles of trails and a 360-degree view over the Quinnipiac River estuary, New Haven Harbor and Long Island Sound. Local tradition names it for Revolutionary War veteran Peter Brockett; stone ruins remain from a 1901 hunting lodge called The Hermitage. Open for hiking during daylight hours.
