Point Lobos

The promontory at Lands End, on ground the National Park Service administers within the Golden Gate National Recreation Area.
History
The Spanish named it Point Lobos for the lobos marinos, the sea lions that once hauled up on the rocks offshore. Under Mexican rule this section of coastline was part of a land grant called Rancho Punta de Lobos.
