Palazzo dell'Anagrafe
Historic site · Ripa, Italy
The registry building of the Governatorato di Roma, on via Luigi Petroselli, put up on the site of the hospice of Santa Galla and its old church. The medieval quarter of the Forum Boarium was demolished in 1936 and replaced with public-administration buildings.
History
it.wikipedia's article on the rione gives the construction dates as 1936 to 1939, names Ignazio Guidi and Cesare Valle as its designers and the Impresa Tudini e Talenti as contractor. Turismo Roma adds Vincenzo Fasolo, working on Valle's drawings. The Centro di Studi per la Storia dell'Architettura, in the Casa dei Crescenzi, records that Valle designed the adjoining municipal office buildings in 1936, with brick elevations chosen to chime with the medieval house.
