Roseland Park
Park · Woodstock, Connecticut
A roughly 90- to 94-acre lake wrapped by forested land, lawns, and sports fields, with a nine-hole public golf course — Connecticut's second oldest — plus boating, a playground, and picnic grounds. No swimming is permitted.
History
New York merchant Henry C. Bowen created the privately owned park and opened it to the public in 1876; it is still run by the Trustees of the Bowen Family Trust.
