Salisbury House

Salisbury House stands on Bury Street West, Edmonton, N9 9LL, and is listed at Grade II* as NHLE 1188620. Historic England dates it 'Late C16 or early C17' and describes '3 storeys, gabled. Timber framing plastered, tiled roofs. Upper storeys oversail at 1st and 2nd floor levels on all sides.' It is run as an arts centre; no source states its opening hours, so none are given here.
History
The Grade II* listing was made on 10 April 1954 and amended on 10 December 1975, under the statutory address 'Salisbury House, Bury Street West N9'; the Historic England record gives the district as Enfield (London Borough). The west front carries three gables with 'a semi-octagonal gabled turret cutting into central and southern gables' and two three-shaft chimney stacks. The wall to the east of the house is separately listed Grade II, NHLE 1188630, and the wall to the south-west of the garden Grade II, NHLE 1359006. Bush Hill Park station, on the Overground Weaver line, is about 950 m away and Edmonton Green about 1,344 m.
