Italian Wikipedia's account: the church was built between 1914 and 1916 to a design by Aristide Leonori. Its elevation gives onto via Piave, although the original project faced it to via XX Settembre, and it is separated from the street by a wrought-iron railing. The façade is fronted by a central projecting body with a five-arched loggia reached by two side ramps. Inside are three aisles on columns carrying a matroneum under an ogival vault; the windows above the matroneum are glazed with glass from Munich showing saints whose names match those of the architect's family. The transept windows show the Institution of the Eucharist and the Sacrifice of Melchizedek on the right; the left transept window is described by Italian Wikipedia as an Adoration of the Eucharist by all the peoples of the world («Adorazione dell'Eucaristia da parte di tutte le razze»). The side apses hold a St Ignatius of Loyola and a copy of the Madonna della Strada, and the central apse is in marble and mosaic with Christ among saints.

The church is run by the Ancelle del Sacro Cuore di Gesù, the Handmaids of the Sacred Heart, of Madrid, and the same article says the congregation's convent adjoins the church. Italian Wikipedia states that the body of the congregation's foundress, Rafaela Porras y Ayllón, lies in a chapel on the left-hand side of the church.
