The Church of St Margaret stands on The Broadway, IG11 8AS, in the churchyard beside Abbey Green. It is a Church of England parish church dedicated to Margaret of Antioch. No source states its opening hours, so none are given here.
History
The church is listed at Grade I as NHLE 1064408, first listed 28 May 1954, with the statutory address Parish Church of St Margaret, Broadway. It stands on a site dating back to the thirteenth century and was built inside the grounds of Barking Abbey, whose ruins are a scheduled monument, NHLE 1003581. A chest tomb in the churchyard, the Tomb of Captain John Bennett, carries its own Grade II entry, NHLE 1418618, of 13 March 2014.
