Palazzo della Panetteria
Historic site · Trevi, Italy
A palace on Via della Dataria, in rione Trevi, standing between the Palazzo della Dataria and the Palazzo del Quirinale. Its official name is Palazzo della Famiglia Pontificia.
History
It was built by Paolo Posi between 1764 and 1766, Clement XIII having ordered its complete rebuilding. It is reached from the Quirinale through the Torre di Urbano VIII, the Swiss Guard tower, and it now serves as an annexe of the Quirinale. Its patron is not named here: the Italian Wikipedia article attributes the commission, in both its infobox and its body, to a pope who died in 1621, which cannot be right for a building of the 1760s.
