Via Alessandrina
Historic site · Campitelli, Italy
A street that mostly no longer exists. The Sovrintendenza Capitolina records that Cardinal Michele Bonelli (1541-1598), a nephew of Pius V, laid out this area in the later sixteenth century, and that the street - named Alessandrina after the cardinal - was opened in 1584 and was more than 400 metres long. It was largely destroyed in the 1930s.
