The Bushwick Collective
Attraction · Bushwick, New York
An open-air street-art collective that has turned building walls along Troutman Street and the adjacent blocks into a rotating outdoor gallery. It is free and visible from the sidewalk, and it hosts an annual block party.
History
The collective was founded in 2012 by a neighborhood resident who donated his own wall and then coordinated with other building owners to open more walls to artists. Murals by Buff Monster, Phlegm, Blek le Rat and Olek have gone up among them.
