Calvary Hospital

A hospital at 1740 Eastchester Road, described as one of the first, and still one of the largest, medical complexes focusing on end-of-life hospice care. Its own site describes it as the country's only fully accredited acute care specialty hospital exclusively providing palliative care for adult patients with advanced cancer and other life-limiting illnesses.
History
Established in 1899 and affiliated with the Archdiocese of New York. It operates 225 beds across multiple locations, including a 25-bed unit at Lutheran Medical Center in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, held since 2001, and the 10-bed Dawn Greene Hospice on the 15th floor of the Mary Manning Walsh Home on Manhattan's Upper East Side.
