A state park overlooking Penobscot Bay, developed in part by a Depression-era Civilian Conservation Corps camp.
History
Per Wikipedia's "Camden Hills State Park" article, the park overlooks Penobscot Bay in the town of Camden and encompasses 5,710 acres of land turned over to the state in 1947. A Civilian Conservation Corps camp there operated from June 1935 to September 1941, creating roads, trails, buildings, and recreational facilities, and the Mount Battie Auto Road was completed in 1965.
