Chiesa del Santissimo Rosario di Pompei
Historic site · Castro Pretorio, Italy
A neoclassical church of 1889-1898 in Via Cernaia, with the Marist Fathers' provincial curia attached.
History
Italian Wikipedia's article on the rione gives the church's name as Chiesa del Santissimo Rosario di Pompei; OpenStreetMap carries the double dedication Santa Maria del Rosario e San Pietro Chanel as an alternative. Italian Wikipedia says it was built between 1889 and 1898 to a neoclassical design by Pio Piacentini, with the provincial curia of the Marist Fathers and an international student hostel attached. Both statements are an aggregator's and are attributed as such; no first-party source for the church was reached.
