Galatoire's

Restaurant · New Orleans, Louisiana

A French Creole restaurant at 209 Bourbon Street in the French Quarter, New Orleans, 13.86 road miles from TPC Louisiana. Its own history page heads itself "Galatoire's: A historic tradition of New Orleans dining since 1905" and records that Jean Galatoire, from the French village of Pardies, founded it that year with family recipes from his homeland, and that five generations later his descendants "have remained true to his vision" at the same address. The menu is "anchored in the French Creole tradition" and "brimming with bountiful seafood from the Gulf." Since 2009 ownership has been a partnership between Jean Galatoire's descendants and the Louisiana businessmen Todd Trosclair and John Georges, with Melvin Rodrigue as CEO. Published dining-room hours: closed Monday; Tuesday to Saturday, 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Sunday, 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.
