Monsignor Scanlan High School

A Roman Catholic coeducational high school at 915 Hutchinson River Parkway, in the Archdiocese of New York and affiliated with the Dominican Sisters of Sparkill. Its campus covers 13 acres, and it is accredited by the Middle States Association and the Board of Regents.
History
St. Helena's Elementary School opened in 1940. In 1949 the parish purchased land from St. Joseph's School for the Deaf in Throggs Neck and established two high schools that year, St. Helena's High School for Boys and St. Helena's High School for Girls. Both were renamed in Monsignor Arthur J. Scanlan's honor in 1972, merged into a single coeducational institution in 1976, and became administratively independent from the parish in 2014. Approximately 460 students were enrolled as of 2021. The school offers Advanced Placement courses and STEM programs, and its athletic programs include baseball, basketball, softball, volleyball, track and cross country.
