Ponte Guglielmo Marconi

A road bridge over the Tiber, lying between the quartieri Ostiense and Portuense. It is built on Gerber beams, runs about 235 metres, has a cross section of 32 metres with four lanes each way, and carries travertine parapets.
History
It was planned from the early 1930s and begun in 1937; work stopped during the war, resumed in 1953, and the bridge was inaugurated on 26 February 1955. It was restored in 1975.
