Palazzo Fiano al Corso

Roma Capitale records a thirteenth-century core, wholly rebuilt in the 1400s as the residence of the titular cardinals of San Lorenzo in Lucina; it passed to the Peretti, the family of Sixtus V, around the mid-1600s, and to the Dukes Ottoboni di Fiano in the 1800s, whence the name. Edoardo Almagià bought it in 1898. It was the seat of the Circolo degli scacchi from 1923 to 1990. The salone was frescoed in the mid-1600s by Giovan Francesco Grimaldi and François Perrier, with an adjoining Sala degli Specchi.
