Palazzo Sessoriano

The imperial residence known as the Sessorium, inside the Horti Variani at the south-east edge of the Augustan Regio V Esquiliae, beside the Aqua Claudia. it.wikipedia gives its surface as 122,500 square metres. It is under the Soprintendenza Speciale Archeologia Belle Arti e Paesaggio di Roma. No source states opening arrangements, so none are given here.
History
The complex was begun by Septimius Severus and finished under Elagabalus. The Anfiteatro Castrense and the Circo Variano belonged to the same imperial residential complex, which was called Ad Spem Veterem.
