Permanently closed. This page is kept for reference.
The neoclassical royal house in the middle of Villa Ada. It has been the seat of the embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt since 1997, so it is a working diplomatic mission and is not open to visitors; you see it from the park.
History
It was built between 1873 and 1875 by Gennaro Petagna with the engineer Guglielmo Castelnuovo, and was the residence of Vittorio Emanuele III and his family from 1904 to 1946. The Arab Republic of Egypt acquired it in 1997.
