San Tommaso ai Cenci

The medieval title was in capite molarum, from the mills on the bank, and the church was also called San Tommaso Fraternitatis as a seat of the Romana Fraternitas; it was renamed from the Cenci palace in the fifteenth century. The interior is rectangular, and the high altar holds a roundel of blue murra, iolite. The first chapel on the left has Storie della Vergine by Girolamo Siciolante da Sermoneta of 1585. The church belonged to the Confraternita dei Vetturini, who had a Mass said each 11 September for Beatrice and Giacomo Cenci.
