Sharon Building

The sandstone building above the Children's Quarter, in a Richardsonian Romanesque manner, now in use as an art centre. San Francisco Landmark No. 124, designated in 1981.
History
Built in 1888 to designs by the architects George W. Percy and Frederick F. Hamilton. It was severely damaged in the 1906 earthquake and was rebuilt according to the original plans; a fire damaged the building in 1974, and a phased restoration was completed in 1992.
